Chesty Geeks

   Posted by: Yoggie    in Errata

For all you non-Lockergnomes and non-Call For Help on TechTV types who haven’t heard yet, Chris Pirillo has a new website Rent My Chest where for $20 you can have a message written on Chris’ chest. Sorry, I can look at his chest for only so long.
Now if we can just convince Gretchen to rent out her tummy, then we can discuss some serious dough.

For those really into the Friday the 13th movies, this is the site for you. You can get body counts, info about all the actors who played Jason (even the imposter), bloopers, novels, and many other things.

Important note: if you are having trouble posting comments on this site, please let me know.

TGIF 5

Posted by: Yoggie    in Friday Five

1. As a child, who was your favorite superhero/heroine? Why?
Superman, the guy could fly, had superstrength, was superfast, had heat vision, and could see through women’s dresses. Every power a guy could want.

2. What was one thing you always wanted as a child but never got?
My own personal butler. It would have been so cool to have someone do everything for me.

3. What’s the furthest from home you’ve been?
About 600 miles. I went to Arkansas for a job interview and was on the plan when a tornado hit the town I was landing in. It also happened to be the year when Arkansas had its worse flood in over a century.

4. What’s one thing you’ve always wanted to learn but haven’t yet?
How to take over people’s minds. What do we do every night, Pinky?

5. What are your plans for the weekend?
Work, work, sleep, work, work, work.

Now do yours. See what other people are saying.

Oh, blogdoodle!

   Posted by: Yoggie    in Friends

Will someone tell me who put this banana in my ear! As you can tell, I have lost all of what few marbles I had in my head. No one said that you had to be sane to blog.

While I have your attention, I should point out a site that just came to my attention thanks to Kim. The site is Moxie.nu. She has some interesting things to say in her blog and her site/personal info is quite original and humorous. Her site is also interesting in that, if you noticed the file extensions, her site is PHP based.

As they say in Green Bay, “Packers! Woohooo!”. You MSTies ought to get that one.

This is so cool

   Posted by: Yoggie    in News

Scientist have unearthed a “Cyclops” skull in Crete.
The skull is really that of Deinotherium Gigantisimum, an elephant-like mammal that lived over 7 million years ago. What gives the skull a cyclops look is the giant nasal cavity in the middle of the skull, right where the single eye would have been on the mythical Cyclops. Imagine the surprise of a farmer 5,000 years ago digging up a similar skull.

Work Malaise

   Posted by: Yoggie    in Errata

Ever had one of those days when you get to work and cannot do anything except draw your paycheck? You dream about it all the time, but when you get it, YOU ARE BORED OUTTA YOUR SKULL. Luckily this will not be an all day thing.

No, I will not comment on Shrub’s State of the Dis-Union Address, even if I have to tie both hands behind my back and tape my mouth shut.

And you people who are visiting my site, please leave a comment or two on occasion. I know you are out there. I’m gonna regret saying this one day, but even a troll post would be welcome.

Flotsam is fun

Posted by: Yoggie    in Relationships, Site News

Inane quote of the day…. “A nickel ain’t worth a dime anymore.”–Yogi Berra

This should prepare you for what will be another mind-numbing, soul-destroying speech by President Bushie. You can always depend of him to slaughter the English language.

And for those of you guys out there who still think tickets for two to the Naked Women Mud Wrestling Championship is a great gift to your gal for Valentine’s Day, check out this list of don’ts. By the way, Valentine’s Day is only 17 days away. Start shopping now if you haven’t already.!

I just added a new feature to my site that gives me more detailed stats about traffic and site used than you would normally get from your provider only after paying a hefty fee. The service is RE_INVIGORATE and the service is FREE.

I have a mission!

Posted by: Yoggie    in Monday Mission

PromoGuy’s Monday Mission 3.04

1. Do you care for poetry? Do you have a favorite poem? Care to share some of it?
Some, I’m not a big fan of poetry, though I have written some. My choice of poems usually run toward the macabre hence my favorite is “The Raven” by Edgar Allen Poe. You can read it here.

2. What does it take to “rock your world?”
A heck of a lot more than you PromoGuy. The twins maybe.

3. Have you ever done anything that landed you in financial trouble? Has somebody else’s action ever caused you financial ruin? What happened?
What lands anyone in financial trouble? Student loans. My wife is constantly trying to ruin us financially, but she has been able to pull us out just in time.

4. Take a stroll down memory lane. There is a song, that every time you hear it, you think of this one person. What’s the song, who is the person, and what memories does it conjure up?
“If I said you had a beautiful body…” by The Bellemy Brothers concerns my wife in situations I will not go into here. Just let me say we didn’t have to wait more than 9 months for our first born.

5. I’ve never cared for football, it was never on in the house growing up and I never developed a “taste” for it. But I’ve always felt like I “should” enjoy it, that I was deficient in some way because I never get excited about things like the Super Bowl (except for the commercials). Are there any occasions when you feel like you are missing out on something that everyone else seems to enjoy?
Yes, the all night orgies.

6. A few of the phrases that get under my skin are “take it to the next level” (which was used when I was told why I was being replaced at Fox by someone who could do that) and “you just don’t get it” (always popular in relationship fights). What phrases “push your buttons” and why?
“Let’s just be friends.” That used to burn my briefs when I was young, especially after we had date for a few months and I’d spent boodles of cash and emotional energy on her.

7. Do you believe in life after death? What do you believe happens when our time is up?*
Life after death? Man, I have trouble thinking past my next meal.

*Question provided by Jill.

BONUS: Everybody’s talking all this stuff about me why don’t they just let me live?
Because they either are overbearing nerf-herders or they know you too well.

Try it, you’ll like it.

It’s Friday and it’s five

Posted by: Yoggie    in Friday Five

1. What is one thing you don’t like about your body?
Depleted lung capacity. Having asthma is the pits.

2. What are two things you love about your body?
My brain and my blue eyes. Need more brain.

3. What are three things you want to change about your home?
More room, more room, less dust.

4. What are four books you want to read this year?
Black House by Peter Straub and Stephen King, From a Buick 8 by Stephen King, All the Rage by F. Paul Wilson, and The Tomb by F. Paul Wilson. Do you see a trend?

5. What are five promises you have kept to yourself?
Lose weight, so far so good. Not lose my temper as often, still working on that one. Finish my craft projects in a timely matter, okay so far. Become immortal, having problems with that one but I will keep trying.

It’s mine, get your own! See what others are saying.

CEO slapstick

   Posted by: Yoggie    in News

Of all the flomadogin going on in this world, this has got to take the cake. As you know, K-Mart stores around the nation are closing due to the chain store filing bankruptcy. Well the brilliant phlegm at K-Mart decided to pay their CEO a million dollar bonus on top of the his million dollar a year salary. This all from a company that can’t even pay its bills. Where can you sign up for this kind of job?

In response to a most unexpected request, I will shortly begin a movie/book review section. Apparently a few of you out there liked my movie reviews. More information will be upcoming later.

By the way, your shoes are untied.
