I’m a ravin’ lunatic! Just had to get that off my chest. Ain’t it swell that you can write anything on your blog.
Okay seriously, don’t forget that Monday is MLK day. Let’s celebrate the day by peacefully meditating on the present situation of the nation and on trying to be more civil toward our fellow persons.
Peace and soul. See y’all after the holiday.

1. Where do you currently work?
At a university in coastal Georgia. I won’t go into specifics.
2. How many other jobs have you had and where?
At least seven. Most were jobs I held during school and college ranging from convenience store clerk to printer to programmer.
3. What do you like best about your job?
I get to program and work on a computer all day. Yes, I am an uber-geek. Great benefits, nice people to work with, and flexible hours.
4. What do you like least about your job?
The pay really sucks. But then I work for the government and you don’t get rich working for the government.
5. What is your dream job?
You haven’t been listening have you, I am at my dream job!
Roll your own.

Today’s birthdays…Benjamin Franklin (thanks for the bi-focals, Ben), Muhammad Ali (61), James (“Luke, I am your father”) Earl Jones (72),Susanna Hoffs (44) of The Bangles, Jim Carrey(41), and Eartha Kitt (76), Catwoman of the Batman TV show (76).
Oh my God! J-Lo is a robot! And she has taken over the world. Just as Kevin Murphy. You can get his spin on this and other subjects from his interview on The Screen Savers broadcast on TechTV.
It seems that more of our rights as citizens of the USA are going down the tubes in the name of national security. The ACLU in this report states has stressed the need for action against things like the Total Information Awareness program and other such programs that erode what little freedoms we have left. Even The Screen Savers had a bit on it. And people actually voted for Shrub.
You gotta fight for your right to paaaartee. Or at the least to make backups of your music and movies. Find out how you can help the Digital Media Consumers Rights Act get passed and return our “fair use” rights.
