This is so cool
Scientist have unearthed a “Cyclops” skull in Crete.
The skull is really that of Deinotherium Gigantisimum, an elephant-like mammal that lived over 7 million years ago. What gives the skull a cyclops look is the giant nasal cavity in the middle of the skull, right where the single eye would have been on the mythical Cyclops. Imagine the surprise of a farmer 5,000 years ago digging up a similar skull.
