Sharp dressed Friday Five

Posted by: Yoggie    in Friday Five

“…girls go crazy for a sharp dressed man..”

1) Of everything in your wardrobe what do you feel the most comfortable wearing? Why?
Jeans and my grey t-shirt make me feel like a woman… er man. I like the casual wear and the softness of the combo. Nothing gets between me and my Calvin Klein jeans… except my boxers… and the fact that I wear Wrangler jeans.

2) How would you describe your style?
“Whatever is on sell at K-Mart or Wal-Mart” or “What Not To Wear candidate special” style.

3) How many pairs of shoes do you own and do you wear them all?
Five, I wear them all but two of the pair travel no further than the edge of my yard.

4) Where do you buy most of your clothes?
Wal-Mart and K-Mart, weren’t you listening? It is not like there are a lot of clothing stores around here for men unless you want to wear suits all the time.

5) What was the last piece of clothing you bought?
Bought? I don’t buy clothes, they just appear on me. The last piece I bought is probably the pair of sneakers I am wearing right now which I purchased two years ago. You see, I don’t buy clothes, clothes is what I get in lieu of presents on Christmas and my birthday.

Anyway, I’m too sexy for my shirt, too sexy for my shirt, so sexy it hurts.

Remember, No Pants Day is May 6th next year.

Of course it is always No Pants Day in my office. *key the 70′s porno music*

Thursday is for what?

   Posted by: Yoggie    in Errata

This is a post about nothing….
And nothing is all there is.

I really hate being ill. I have some respiratory infection that I just can’t seem to shake and I’m on this round of drugs to clear it up. Yep, the drugs make me sick as well (as expected). I don’t know which is worse, the illness or the meds?

And I really despise writing about how sick I am, but I have nothing else going at the time. Maybe the drugs are interfering with my creative juices.

I know all of you are tired of me talking about it.

And yes, I am a little depressed at the time as well. I’m such a fun person to be around sometimes.

And blog content? I am at a lose right now. You see what kind of crap I write about when I am in a lull.

Lull that rhymes with dull, which sounds like null. I guess this article is right. God, I have to do this three days every month. And this is normal!

Argh! Not even hauntingly beautiful blue eyes of Amy Lee is getting me out of the doldrums.

*sigh*

I was listening to Pretty Fly For A Rabbi and thinking that Fran Drescher

was singing the female lyrics in the song (well, she was in Al’s movie UHF) and I read the CD cover to find that it is voice actress Tress MacNeille doing ths singing… Babs Bunny!

Of course both women look quite scrumptious to me.

Pretty Fly For A Rabbi
by Al Yankovic

Veren zol fun dir a blintsa

(How ya doin’ Bernie?) Oy vey, oy vey
(How ya doin’ Bernie?) Oy vey, oy vey
(How ya doin’ Bernie?) Oy vey, oy vey
And all the goyim say I’m pretty fly for a rabbi

Meccha leccha hi, meccha hiney hiney ho

Our temple’s had a fair share of rabbis in the past
But most of ‘em were nudniks and none of ‘em would last
But our new guy’s real kosher, I think he’ll do the trick
I tell ya, he’s to dies for – he really knows his shtick

So how’s by you? Have you seen this Jew?
Reads the Torah, does his own accounting too
Workin’ like a dog at the synagogue
He’s there all day, he’s there all day
Just say “Vay iz mir!” and he’ll kick into gear
He’ll bring you lots of cheer and maybe bagels with some shmeer
Just grab your yarmulka and
Hey! Hey! Do that Hebrew thing!

(How ya doin’ Bernie?) Oy vey, oy vey
(How ya doin’ Bernie?) Oy vey, oy vey
(How ya doin’ Bernie?) Oy vey, oy vey
And all the goyim say I’m pretty fly (for a rabbi)

He shops at discount stores, not just any will sufice
He has to find a bargain ’cause he won’t pay retail price
He never acts meshugga and he’s hardly a schlemiel
But if you wanna haggle, oy, he’ll make you such a deal!

People used to scoff, now they say “Mazel tov!”
He’s such a macher ’cause he worked his tuchis off
Yeah, he keeps his cool and teaches shul
What’s not to like? What’s not to like?
On high holy days, you know he prays and prays
And he never eats pastrami on white breath with mayonnaise
Put on your yarmulka and
Hey! Hey! Do that Hebrew thing!

When he’s doing a Bar Mitzvah, now that you shouldn’t miss
He’ll always shlep on down for a wedding or a briss
They say he’s got a lot of chutzpah, he’s really quite hhhhhip
The parents pay the moyl and he gets to keep the tip

(How ya doin’ Bernie?) Oy vey, oy vey
(How ya doin’ Bernie?) Oy vey, oy vey
(How ya doin’ Bernie?) Oy vey, oy vey

Meccha leccha hi, meccha meccha cholly ho

He’s doin’ well, I gotta kvell
The yentas love him, even shicksas think he’s swell
Show up at his home, he says “Shalom”
And “Have some cake – you want some cake?”
Yah, he calls the shots, we really love him lots
Oy gevalt, I’m so ferklempt that I could plotz
So grab your yarmulka
The one you got for Chanukah
Let’s put on our yarmulkas and
Hey! Hey! Do that Hebrew thing!

Okay, one more pic of Fran….

Did I tell you that I find her incredibly attractive and sexy, even when she does that voice. So maybe I’ve got some voice fetish, but that voice just turns me on somehow. Maybe it is because of some deep buried sexual fantasy from my teen years or that I just associate that voice with that bod.

Musical Friday Five

Posted by: Yoggie    in Friday Five, Music and Music Reviews

1. Who was your favorite band/musician when you were younger?
Younger? Define younger. Back when I was a kid my favorite band was a tie between Styx and Queen. i was very into pop rock when I was young. But who can find fault in “Come Sail Away” and “Bohemian Rhapsody”?

2. Why?
Styx and Queen weren’t too much rock and not too much pop but somewhere in between. You could always sing to their songs without too much embarrassment.

3. Are they still your favorite/one of your favorites?
They are still one of my favorite bands. There have been many bands and artist over the years but the oldies still stir the old air guitar.

4. What is your favorite of their songs?
“Is this the real life, is this just fantasy…” Bohemian Rhapsody, though Enter Sandman by Metallica does kick some arse.

5. Are there any specific lyrics you hold dear?
This song was plying on the radio when my wife agreed to marry me…

Let Your Love Flow
by Bellamy Brothers

There’s a reason for the sunshiny sky
There’s a reason why I’m feeling so high
Must be the season when those love lights shine all around us
So let that feeling grab you deep inside
And send you reeling where your love can’t hide
And then go stealing through the moonlit night with your lover

Just let your love flow like a mountain stream
And let your love grow with the smallest of dreams
And let your love show and you’ll know what I mean it’s the season
Let your love fly like a bird on the wind
And let your love find you to all living things
And let your love shine and you’ll know what I mean that’s the reason

There’s a reason for the warm sweet nights
And there’s a reason for the candle lights
Must be the season when those love lights shine all around us
So let that wonder take you into space
And lay you under its loving embrace
Just feel the thunder as it warms your face you can’t hold back

Just let your love flow like a mountain stream
And let your love grow with the smallest of dreams
And let your love show and you’ll know what I mean it’s the season
Let your love fly like a bird on the wind
And let your love find you to all living things
And let your love shine and you’ll know what I mean that’s the reason

Just let your love flow like a mountain stream
And let your love grow with the smallest of dreams
And let your love show and you’ll know what I mean it’s the season
Let your love fly like a bird on the wind
And let your love find you to all living things
And let your love shine and you’ll know what I mean that’s the reason.

Whistle while you Friday Five.

Now doesn’t she look like Emma Peel of The Avengers?

It is very quiet here

   Posted by: Yoggie    in Errata

Yes, for those of you who have inquired, I am not feeling well so I’ve been pretty much doped up for the last fews days on antibiotics, pain pills, and super decongestants. I have managed to get the sinus, ear, chest infection again and it has me down for the count. My doctors (yes, doctors) have decided to treat me as if I was a ten year old from now on and I will be undergoing “preventative” antibiotic treatments every time I get a sniffle.. well not the sniffles since it seems that every infection was preceded by a flu virus, the latest from a flu bug my daughter brought back from camp.

Enough about my illness, what is going on in the world? Anyone still having sex? Well someone must be getting something, but all I’ve been getting is those spam comments for sex sites. Who in the world reads my blog for the sex. I hate to disappoint those that are, but I’m not likely to go into any detail here about sex due to the age range and sensitivities of my audience. so if any of you have been offended by some of those jerk wad spammers leaving comments on my site, I apologize and I will continue to pursue these spammers whenever possible.

This is getting as bad as the spammers on Yahoo Groups.

Freddy vs. Jason is on STARZ! right now!

Let the blood bath begin!

It doesn’t matter how bad the acting is, just that Freddy and Jason are carving up young, nubile teens and then go head-to-head in the end.

Just don’t go to sleep.

Pen and Paper Friday Five

   Posted by: Yoggie    in Uncategorized

1. What color ink pen do you like best?
Blue, my favorite color as well. Not as harsh as black and not as flashy as the other colors.

2. Do you prefer plain paper or paper with lines (notebook paper)?
Depends on what I want to use it for. For drawing or calligraphy if use plain, for writing I prefer lined.

3. What’s better: books from the library, or reading online?
Books from the library just because of the feel of the book. That is why I have so many books at home. Though online books do have the advantage of easy storage.

4. Which would you rather get, e-mail or snail mail?
E-mail. I like the ability to respond instantly and use the conversational tone that you have a hard time duplicating in snail mail though I do like having paper letters, it gives you a connection with the writer.

5. Do you have a paper weight on your desk?
I prefer not to refer to them as paper weights, more as nic-nacks or little statuettes.

Pen a note to the Friday Five.

Time passages

Posted by: Yoggie    in Errata, Friends, Music and Music Reviews, Relationships

Well, she has finally made it back home. It seems her trip was productive with plenty of soul searching and a resolution to proceed with her life despite some disappointments and revelations about a relationship that in the beginning I honestly was hoping would work out… that is until I heard the hurt and disappointment in her voice as she related the post to me. I may be hard of hearing and not as empathic as Lorne, but I can still pick up the emotions underneath no matter how hard consciously or unconsciously you try to hide them.

I hope things work out for her, she is a sweet, beautiful, sexy woman and quite a catch.

And you’re welcome, it was a pleasure and an honor.

Now I don’t know why this particular songs has been running through me head the last two days. I guess it is a message to me or one or more of my readers…

Time Passages
Al Stewart

It was late in December, the sky turned to snow
All round the day was going down slow
Night like a river beginning to flow
I felt the beat of my mind go
Drifting into time passages
Years go falling in the fading light
Time passages
Buy me a ticket on the last train home tonight

Well I’m not the kind to live in the past
The years run too short and the days too fast
The things you lean on are the things that don’t last
Well it’s just now and then my line gets cast into these
Time passages
There’s something back here that you left behind
Oh time passages
Buy me a ticket on the last train home tonight

Hear the echoes and feel yourself starting to turn
Don’t know why you should feel
That there’s something to learn
It’s just a game that you play

Well the picture is changing
Now you’re part of a crowd
They’re laughing at something
And the music’s loud
A girl comes towards you
You once used to know
You reach out your hand
But you’re all alone, in these
Time passages
I know you’re in there, you’re just out of sight
Time passages
Buy me a ticket on the last train home tonight.
