Bookworm Friday Five

Posted by: Yoggie    in Friday Five

Yeah, I know, I way behind in everything this week. I still haven’t finished moving to a new server (when does one find the time). Hopefully this weekend I will be able to make the move. While you are waiting, here is a bookish Friday Five…..

1. What is the one book that you reread over and over again?
I don’t have a great deal of time to re-read a book since I have a whole bookself of books I haven’t read, but when I do I usually pick up one of the H.P. Lovecraft books I have.

2. What is your favourite genre?
Horror. Most specifically the Cthulhu mythos type horror, the type of great evil and mad gods that are indescribable horrors, and rural-flavor horror.

3. Do you usually buy your books or visit the library?
I usually buy my books. I am the type of person that likes to be surrounded by books and buying books means that you have a book handy when you want to read it.

4. Who is your favourite author?
I’d have to say F. Paul Wilson, with H.P. Lovecraft, Stephen King, and Ramsey Campbell a very close second.

5. What book have you read that you absolutely hated?
It was a book on modern (at the time of publication) French literature IN FRENCH. Now, I not the best at French and I have trouble speaking it clearly or translating verbal French, but I can do okay when reading it. The trouble was it was a required reading, it was in a language not native to me, and it was boring.

What are your responses to the Friday Five?
