Sometimes you can get into some real deep thinking, then there are times when your mind is a total wasteland of irrelevant and spasmodic phrases and images… a nice way of saying your daydreaming.
So what is today’s post about?
The frell if I know, I just work here.
I was listening to “Dust in the Wind” by Kansas and was getting all philosophical and such, and I was all ready to write this really deep stuff. Then came the dreaded cotton-candy song right afterward (I was listening to the radio). You know the kind of song. In particular the one I was listening to was “Sugar, Sugar” by The Archies (remember the Saturday morning show). Well, that song was enough to just blast every thought of worth out of my head… gone… goodbye.
Don’t ya hate that.
Well, here are the lyrics to “Dust in the Wind”. Maybe you can think of something deep.
Dust In The Wind
by Kansas
I close my eyes
Only for a moment, then the moment’s gone
All my dreams
Pass before my eyes, a curiosity
Dust in the wind
All they are is dust in the wind
Same old song
Just a drop of water in an endless sea
All we do
Crumbles to the ground, though we refuse to see
Dust in the wind
All we are is dust in the wind, ohh
Now, don’t hang on
Nothing lasts forever but the earth and sky
It slips away
And all your money won’t another minute buy
Dust in the wind
All we are is dust in the wind
All we are is dust in the wind
Dust in the wind
Everything is dust in the wind
Everything is dust in the wind
The wind
And just so you know how it feels to loose what mind you have, here are the lyrics to “Sugar, Sugar”…..
Sugar, Sugar
by The Archies
Sugar, ah honey honey
You are my candy girl
And you’ve got me wanting you.
Honey, ah sugar sugar
You are my candy girl
And you’ve got me wanting you.
I just can’t believe the loveliness of loving you
(I just can’t believe it’s true)
I just can’t believe the one to love this feeling to.
(I just can’t believe it’s true)
Ah sugar, ah honey honey
You are my candy girl
And you’ve got me wanting you.
Ah honey, ah sugar sugar
You are my candy girl
And you’ve got me wanting you.
When I kissed you, girl, I knew how sweet a kiss could be
(I know how sweet a kiss can be)
Like the summer sunshine pour your sweetness over me
(Pour your sweetness over me)
Sugar, pour a little sugar on it honey,
Pour a little sugar on it baby
I’m gonna make your life so sweet, yeah yeah yeah
Pour a little sugar on it oh yeah
Pour a little sugar on it honey,
Pour a little sugar on it baby
I’m gonna make your life so sweet, yeah yeah yeah
Pour a little sugar on it honey,
Ah sugar, ah honey honey
You are my candy girl
And you’ve got me wanting you.
Oh honey, honey, sugar sugar ..
You are my candy girl ..
See, all thoughts have now left your head.
Well, I still have one thought floating in my head. Yeah that blue-eyed young African-American woman I saw the other day when I went to get some fast food. I was just about to order some crappy for my health fast food when those beautiful blue eyes looked at me from behind the cash register…. the kind of eyes that make you weak in the knees and stutter. Okay, I didn’t stutter my order out, but the young lady behind the counter blushed when I commented about how beautiful are her eyes.
Yes, I am evil and I’m going to hell, but those blue eyes where a real pick me up.
