In a not so shocking move today following on the heels of the current debacle over George Deutsch at NASA, a group advocating intelligent design (you pick one) pronounced that electricity was only a theory. The head spokesman, some bloke by the name of Jim or John, stated that “the electricity that runs computers and the Internet are based on science and does not go along with the intelligent design.” “We have our own theories, ” he went on to say, “that everything runs on magic and repressed sexual urges and that this theory should be taught along with that electricity crap.”

The group also stated that since everything ran on magic that there was no such thing as pollution, an energy crisis, or freedom of speech.

Update: The afore mentioned group has been reported eaten by the Flying Spaghetti Monster. One witness, Jeb, a retired pirate, stated that “arrr, them ID’ers were just a lolly-gaggin’ naked around this toilet sittin’ in the middle of the road when the Flyin’ ‘Sghetti Monster hover over ‘em and suck them up into it’s great maw like a giant white whale ‘n chewed ‘em up good.” Police really don’t care what happened to them and consider the case closed.
