Time In A Bottle

1) 10 years ago what did you think you would be doing now?
Just what I’m doing… but with a better car.

2) Where do you think you will be in 5 years from now?
Same place, different position.

3) Do you live life one day at a time or look to the future.
I do a little of both. I try not to plan too far ahead as thing can change rapidly.

4) Do you wish you could go back in time and undo something in your life?
Yes, quite a few things… loves lost and miss opportunities.

5) If you could send a message back in time and give a younger version of yourself some advice, what would it be?
Invest in Microsoft.

I prefer Fall… but Spring is nice too.

The leaves, the cool air, and the darker skies.

3. What do you like on spring?
The birds singing, new growth, flowers blooming.

4. Do you have spring fever?
Nope.

5. Are you doing a spring-cleaning?
Not this year. I try to keep it clean all year round so I don’t have to do special cleaning.

I’m Hot For Teacher

1. Who was your favorite all time teacher(s)?
My junior high school English teacher Ms. Vaughn. I had such a crush on her as well.

2. What did they teach?
She taught English and Literature.

3. What is your best memory from that class?
No distinct memories, but plenty of memories of her talking about cats. She did foster my interest in literature.

4. Did you ever have a crush on a teacher and if so who?
The afore mentioned Ms. Vaughn. I wasn’t the only one either.

5. What is the craziest/wildest/weirdest thing you (or someone you know) ever did at school?
Other than mix sulfur and water outside the math teacher’s window? Honestly, I was not involved in that.

1) When does liking someone a lot become loving that person?
After some time of knowing that person. It may take a few days or a few years.

2) Is there a job you would do for free, and is it your current job?
My current job, but don’t tell anyone.

3) What is one person/thing that inspired you to take action of some sort?
Yes, unfortunately I haven’t heard from her in ages and I miss her.

4) Though you might not believe in it, would you like fate to exist?
No, I would rather live in a world were we make out own paths.

5) What’s the kindest thing that anyone has ever done for you?
Complemented me on my writing (blogging and otherwise).

Friday Five for February 17, 2005

1. If you could go back and relive one moment or day from your life, without changing anything, what would you re-experience?
My wedding day.

2. If you could witness a moment in history, again without changing anything, what would you want to see?
Creation of the universe.

3. If you could talk to a younger version of yourself, what age would you visit and what message would you give?
Back when I first started working and I’d tell myself to put some money in savings.

4. If you could choose one moment that would be guaranteed to happen in your future, what would it be and when would it happen?
Be a multi-billionaire, as soon as possible.

5. Pretend you left a time capsule for yourself 5, 10, 15, 20 or more years ago. You just opened it. What three things from your past are you now holding and what age were you when you buried them?
From 20 years ago (when I was 22), I would be holding some of the love letters I have lost in recent years, photo of my then girlfriend, and a bunch of shares of Microsoft stock.

1.) Do you believe in God or a higher power?
Yes, not exactly sure that that higher power is sometimes.

2.) Are good and evil just concepts, or real powers in the universe?
I believe they are both concepts and powers. I believe we make our own decisions and our paths, but sometimes I wonder if some power, be it the universe, karma, God, Devil, whatever that influences events.

3.) What is your view on forgiveness?
I think everyone should be forgiven eventually. I know that view may change if something bad happens to my family, but I hope that I can keep my ideology.

4.) Do organized religions do more harm than good?
Sometimes I wonder if we would be better off without the big organizations. Just look at the Crusades and the current jihads.

5.) If you had a day to spend playing God, what would you do?
Ask him to stop all the needless killing and get us to learn to live together.

1. What is your favorite specialty restaurant (Italian, Mexican, Thai, etc.)?
Mexican.

2. What do you order to eat there?
A burrito, a beef enchilada, and an order of rice.

3. What is your favorite specialty food or dish to cook?
Chili.

4. If you could travel to the home country of your favorite specialty food, what would you do there?
I have no desire to go to Mexico.

5. What is your worst experience with a specialty food restaurant?
I went to a specialty restaurant I had never gone to before with fairly safe food (Italian). Unfortunately, I managed to get food poisoning from that place… as well as everyone who went with me. It turned out that the place received a bad shipment of chicken but it turned me off that place forever.

1. First time you cooked for someone else?
Does cooking for your family count? If so, back when I was 15, let see all the way back in 1978.

2. First time you threw up in someone else’s toilet?
Probably when I was very young.

3. First time you did anything illegal?
Hmm, I’ve been pretty much a clean-cut kid all my life. I guess it may have been the one time I drove without a licence.

4. First time you saw snow/the ocean (whichever is more exotic)?
Snow, back when I was five or six. My family and I went to the Atlanta Zoo in March and it started snowing… expectantly.

5. First thought when I say “crumple-horned snorcack”?
You are really mad at someone or something.

Feelin’ sleepy
