It seems that McCain has won the “hotly” contested Florida Republican votes and Clinton has the Democratic ones (yeah, like they really count as Florida will not have representatives in the Demo convention). Here is the standing at this time…
Republicans
| Candidate |
States Won |
# of delegates |
| John McCain |
FL, NH, SC |
97 |
| Mitt Romney |
MI, NV, WY |
74 |
| Mike Huckabee |
IA |
29 |
Democrats
| Candidate |
States Won |
# of delegates |
| Hillary Clinton |
FL, MI, NH, NV |
232 |
| Barack Obama |
IA, SC |
158 |
| John Edwards |
none |
62 |
The Democrats shot themselves in the foot by not allowing candidates to campaign in Florida. No delegates and no campaigning because Florida moved up it primary.
I have a great solution to all this… let’s just have all the primaries on one day. No, I’m not the first to suggest this and I won’t be the last. This “we want to have a say in who will be the primaries” is a bunch of crap. You want more say, get more people in you state to vote. (And yes, I do realize that a one day primary will cost the candidates more, especially the ones that are way out of the running, but you need to have the money to run in the first place.)
Who am I voting for coming Super Tuesday? Hillary of course… she is a bit more in the know about IT than is Barack and I can not with clear conscience vote Republican (Georgia has an open primary, no need to declare a party).
Now come November I may be singing a different tune as McCain is a mighty tempting candidate… but the likelihood of Republican party hardliners allowing the more Liberal McCain to run is very slim (yes, they can and have stopped the top vote getter from getting the nomination).
*No, I’m not calling Florida voters or anyone else swampmonsters.

Sometimes it just does not pay to go to work. Yeah, I don’t feel too good right now as I have either another ear/sinus infection or I caught my sister-in-law’s cold (and no, I didn’t catch it that way you perv).
My ear hurts… my jaw hurts. Yes, I’m being a baby.
I’m also trying out the Windows Live Writer to publish this post. We’ll see how well it plays with my blog.
Anyone done anything eeeeeevil today?

Okaaaaaaay…. yep that stupid arse movie is out. Yes, the one with the line “He hacked into my car’s computer.” You now have the buzz statement of the year that is going to annoy the hell out those of us that work in the IT and computer industries. Yes, you can conceivably hack into a car’s chip… if you are in the car itself while doing it. Yes, you can make the car not run and screw with the radio and the GPS, but trying to totally disable a car by hacking its “computer” is just not practical and, for most cars, impossible.
And this stupid thing about an untraceable website is ludicrous. If you know anything about DNS and domain names know that the location of the actual hosting server is easy to figure out and it would take almost no effort to quickly shut the site down. Come on, the FBI is not stupid.
Just another example of how Hollywood does not know a thing about IT.
Untraceable movie trailer
Check out this movie… if you dare!
Note: I had the movies embedded, but it screwed the hell out of my page format. I guess I’ll have to fix that.

I am sooo ready for the weekend… a weekend that I don’t have to be anywhere or do anything. The problem is that today is only Thursday. Yeah, I know, it is better than today being Monday.
Yes, I’ve been quiet lately, but it is not my fault. This time of the year, as you all are well aware, is the most hectic. You have to do this, you have to go here, you have to buy that…. if it weren’t for the wife and kids I’d cancel Christmas altogether. Bah-humbug!
I still have a boatload of stuff to fix on this site, namely the pictures that got screwed up in the move and the auxiliary pages that I never seem to get around to creating. And then there is the theme display problem I have with entry titles.
Has anyone seen my evil monkey repellent?

1. If you could do one thing in the world, what would you do?
Play the violin expertly with feeling.
2. If you could be any character from a book, movie, or television show, who would you be? Why?
Lex Luthor. What? You wouldn’t want to be grossly rich and powerful.
3. If you could change one thing in the world, what would it be?
End hatred.
4. If you could make out with one person of the same sex, who would it be?
John Barrowman who plays Capt. Jack Harkness on Torchwood.
5. If you could make out with one person of the opposite sex, who would it be?
Damn, that is a tall order. There are just too many women who fit the bill, even to list on this site.
