It seems that after the current series has ended and the future 2-hour special is over, the rights to Battlestar Galactica may spawn another re-imaging of the franchise. No, I’m not talking about the series Carpica, which is only based on the current BSG universe and before the final Cylon attack and is basically a soap opera, I am talking about a new version of the old BSG.
According to an IGN article and backed up by other sources, a movie is in the works to bring Glen A. Larson and his vision of BSG to the big screen not unlike earlier incarnations. From the rumors, some confirmed by IGN, we will be getting a new version of the original show, a more space opera/Star Wars/Star Trek action/adventure movie or movies with a potential for a spin-off series. This wouldn’t be a first for the franchise, so far both incarnations started out as pilots/movies one-shots with the hope of a series pickup with the first having limited theatrical releases before the decision was made and the second series pilot more of a test of audience reaction to the re-imaging.
I for one am excited about a new action oriented blasters-a-blasting and metal Cylons red Pong-like eye in a movie or series.

I had a prior engagement yesterday so I couldn’t catch the final 2 hour episode of Battlestar Galactica. It wasn’t until tonight that I had the chance to watch the DVR and I have to say I liked what I saw. Most of the questions were answered and a resolution was presented that didn’t leave the audience in a lurch. There are a few questions lingering which sounds like they are going to be resolved in the 2 hour special later this year called Battlestar Galactica: The Plan.

Officially Spring has arrived and to herald its coming the weather was nice and warm this morning with a cool breeze all day so far. Now I’m getting ready for the usual freaking’ cold snap that happens around this time of the year. Watch it wait until like late April to make an appearance and ruin the whole Spring celebration I have planning. No, I am not having a birthday, just a Spring celebration… gifts are optional.

Would you freakin’ get here please! I am tired of this cold air in the morning, cold air at night, and windy cool air in the daytime. Howabout a nice 65-75 degree temp day and night?
Yes, I know I will be wishing for cooler temperatures when Summer gets here in full force.

- AIG is insisting that they have to pay top execs bonuses of excess of $160 million? One would think after laying off people and having to accept billions in government aid that the bonuses would be out like the dirty laundry water. I don’t care if the execs have it in their contracts to get bonuses, they don’t deserve them. And who writes contracts that gives bonuses to people if that make bad decisions.
- The SciFi Channel is changing its name to SyFy. Yes, as in syphilis. I guess next they will show wrestling and reality shows. Oh wait, they already do. Does anyone in NBC marketing even look at what they are doing?
That is plenty of mind-boggling today.

Work, work, work. That is all I do all weekend. Clean house, feed people, wash clothes, get groceries.
Okay, so it doesn’t take that long to clean the house or feed my family nutritious meals, though it does take all day to wash clothes. Yes, washing clothes means putting clothes in washer, adding detergent and fabric softener, and putting said clothes in dryer. And folding and putting up said clothes. So I watch movies while the clothes are going.
Really bad movies like “Invasion from Inner Earth” or “UFO: Target Earth” or “Manster”.
Or I watch the really crappy movies on SciFi.

Before we get started, my apologies to blondes…. and gay men.
Two women, one blond and one brunette, are seeing the same guy. Neither woman wants to give up the guy so the brunette proposes a competition. That afternoon, the two women meet at a gay men’s bar. The brunette says that the first woman to get a man to leave the bar with her wins the boyfriend. The blond picks out a guy and does everything she can to seduce the guy, gets frustrated, and tries to seduce another guy. The brunette on the other hand walks up to a guy, whispers in his ear, and then walks up to another guy and whispers in his ear. The brunette does this until one of the guys leaves with her. The blond has had no luck in getting a guy to leave with her and admits defeat. When the brunette walks back into the bar, the blond asks the woman how she manage to get a gay guy to leave the bar with her. The brunette says, “I just whispered into the guy’s ear that I think I hit his car. The one I found with a car came out with me to check on his car. I just said he had to leave the bar with you, not take him home with you.”
Spontaneous jokes is not my strong point.
