Just saw the new Star Trek movie at IMAX and it was freakin’ awesome! I wasn’t much of a rabid fan of the subsequent series and movies (with exception of the Wrath of Khan), but I am a big fan of the original series, so much so that I was expecting to be offended by Abrams’ movie. Just to let you doubters out there know, Abrams must be a fanboy of the original series because there was plenty for the hardcore fans as well as plenty for those who are not fans of any Star Trek (or space operas). I am too tired to really get into the movie so there will be a part three to this post.
