Obsessing over a book from my youth

   Posted by: Yoggie

This entry by Tracy had me wondering about a book from my youth that I have been search for the last few years called (I think) Dangerous Planet. This book was about a space exploration team landing on a planet that had some very dangerous indigenous life, particularly the foliage. This site about a class project sounds remarkable like the planet described in the book. The book had to have been first published before 1978. I think the book was written by a famous writer, maybe in the sci-fi or science genres.

If anyone has any idea about who wrote this book and, if I have the wrong title, what is the title.
