I had some problems earlier with the display driver crashing (see http://www.yogblog.com/2011/03/display-driver-woes/) and I fixed it by going to an earlier version of Flash. Well some of my software only works with the latest version so I had to go back. Of course the problem came back. I read it could be hardware acceleration causing the problem so I went to this site, http://www.chemgapedia.de/vsengine/info/en/help/requirements/flash.html, to test the flash video and while it was playing I right clicked and got into the Settings and unclicked “Enable hardware acceleration”. After a few tests, which includes restarting the browser, it seems to have fixed the problem.

So, if you Google and get this site, try to disable the hardware acceleration, it is working for me…. at the moment.

I have been having display driver problems since I had to reinstall the OS on my laptop, the dreaded “Display driver has stopped and been restarted” error. This would only happen on some of the videos from Youtube so I was guessing maybe Flash was the problem.

I tried everything until I read a post about a person that uninstalled Adobe Player 10 and reinstalled 9. I did it and now the videos play without a problem.

Adobe, maybe y’all might want to look into this problem. A lot of people seem to be having it lately.

Made the upgrade to WordPress 3.1. I know, I have been neglecting my blog/Twitter again. I have been busy okay.

Upgraded to version 3.0.1 of WordPress. It went pretty smoothly this time.

Also found a problem with the Tweets not updating the site and vice-versa. Hopefully the problem is solved now.

Upgraded to version 2.9.2 without any obvious problems. One day soon I will get back to regular blogging and memes.
